How a request could move
A developer sends a request
An application calls a consistent API interface with a prompt and optional model preference.
The gateway applies routing rules
The service checks access, request details, and configured policy before selecting an available route.
A provider returns a result
The gateway returns the provider response in a consistent format and surfaces any errors clearly.
Design principles
Clear controls
Make model choice, routing behavior, and account limits understandable.
Secure credentials
Provider secrets belong on the server and must never be embedded in a public frontend.
Measured costs
Verify pricing and usage before making claims about savings or sustainability.
Reliable fallbacks
Handle unavailable providers and invalid requests with predictable errors.
Current status: This is a proposed architecture. The provider names, production capabilities in the blueprint require validation before launch.
